MyTree FAQs

Can I use MyTree in my country?

MyTree has been expanded to work anywhere that trees grow! In locations where i-Tree Eco is fully integrated, MyTree will present more localized results and valuations. For all other locations MyTree estimates will be based on US national averages, reflecting your tree's characteristics.

How are the values reported in MyTree calculated?

MyTree functions as described in the Understanding i-Tree document and is using the same methodology as in i-Tree Eco with some simplified data entry and assumptions to streamline usability for a broader audience.

How many species are in MyTree?

The current species list for MyTree is over 9,000 trees long but does not include any shrub species.

Can the trees I add be saved and downloaded?

At this time, trees added to MyTree and the results are only saved in the browser. Other i-Tree tools such as i-Tree Planting allow users to create and save projects. You can share your MyTree project using the link and tools at the bottom of the tree benefits report page.
